I had heard from my husband when we first met how much fun Molly Murphy's was with a promise to take me there one day - which he did. The food was great but the fun was so much better!! In fact the memory of our experience there has been topped by NONE, and believe me we have dined at some very extrodinary establishments.

I worked at Sullivan's and Chili's right down the street from MM in the mid-80's. Sunday night was restaurant employee night. I enjoyed many upside down Margaritas in the barber chair, and participated in some lovely games like eating hot dogs fed to me by Steve O. on the end of a fishing pole. Good times, good times.....

My first visit to Molly's was on a date in 1978. I actually made the person who was Spock, laugh. Had a wonderful time. My next visit was on my honeymoon in 1984. Took my husband all the way from Colorado to visit. Even took the guy who took me to Molly's the first time with us. My husband and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary this year 2009. How I wish it could have been celebrated at Molly Murphys. We also always dreamed of opening a Molly Murphys here in Colorado. What a shame you had to close. Greatest place I have ever eaten and been entertained. I can just picture a new resturant, but the players would be Star Wars characters, Indiana Jones, etc. Think about it. Where can I find the book?

My brother and his family used to live in Tulsa, and our sister and I took a trip to see them around 1989. We went to MM and had the BEST time! Loved the salad car! Never been to a place like that before, and we all STILL talk about the memory of that night. Sat at the button booth, assisted by most notably Wonder Woman and an Aussie character. I never laughed so hard, ate so much crab, or got snorted at so much in one night before or since! Great memory of that place. Such irreverant fun. Glad to see this page up, and all who have shared their memories.

I worked at MM in 1990/91. I was a hostess. Every now and then they would have too many Hostess on and I would float around and just entertain people. I did silly lap dances that ended with pound cake in the face, took people next door to the Kettle to potty and left them there. One time a family was really angry b/c they needed butter & couldn't find their waiter so I went in the kitchen and asked a cook where the butter was. They pointed me to the walk in fridge and I got a bucket of butter that had an ice cream scoop in it. I took it to the table and just started throwing butter in big piles on the table. Made a huge mess but the customers were laughing so hard. I was Pebbles Flinstone with a very tiny costume. Mickey Rat, Bag lady, Beetle Juice, and Chuckles the Clown worked there at the same time. I was only 16 when I worked there and barely made enough money to pay for the gas it took to get there. It was fun on the weekends and a nice change from the kids from High School. I learned all about the world there.

Kara Frances Yoesting, my late daughter worked at Molly Murpheys. Her costume was Rainbow Bright. The other characters who worked there were the Drink Fairy and some others whose names I don't remember but would love to hear from them. I went there on one of my birthdays and the lap dance was wild, I was so embarassed. Raechel Brown of the Band Crocodiles is my neice. Her husband works for the company that books bands including the Flaming Lips. His name is Derrick Brown. Raechel bought me the book. I want to tell those who remember Kara from Molly Murpheys hello.

My family went to Molly Murphy's OKC when I was six years old. My mom was 9 months pregnant and was having a c-section the next day. Still to this day I remember the waitress sitting on mom's barely there lap. I thought it was so funny that my parents let me eat under the table like a "rug rat." 23 years later I still remember how much my family laughed that night! Great memories!
